Hello, I'm Alice Fong, and I'm running for Lakewood City Council Position 1. As a servant leader, I have to be involved and be part of the solution. I care deeply about our community—our families, our environment, and our local economy.
- I believe everybody, every family in Lakewood deserves to feel safe, supported, and connected to opportunities that help them thrive.
- I'm committed to protecting our natural resources—our lakes, trees, air, and water—so that Lakewood stays healthy and beautiful for generations to come.
- I want to ensure our small businesses have the tools and support they need to succeed.
Most of all, I believe in listening with curiosity and compassion to all perspectives—because the best solutions are generated when we work together. Here are a few roles where I currently practice this:
- Tacoma Public School District, Equity Policy Review Team (2021-present) - member
- City of Lakewood, Lakewood Promise Advisory Board (2024-present) - current Chair
- Pierce County, Commission on Refugee and Immigrant Affairs (2022-present) - current Chair
- Washington State, Public Health Advisory Board (2022-present) - inaugural past Co-chair
